When we enabled the Lync communicator clients, there was one person who shows in my "The People I manage calls for". We do not have the call part enabled and I did not set this up. How do I remove this setting from their profile?

Since upgrading to Lync 2013 (as part of Office 2013) and Windows 8 ... we have been unable to view desktop shares from others (Lync 2010 or 2013). However, others can see our shared desktops. There are no errors reported, the connection appears normal (just white out), and all other features appear normal.
Any ideas, patches.

Hi,
I have newly bought an android phone with Android 4.1.2 installed in it. I installed Lync 2010. After installation I am able to sign-in but after sign-in nothing appears. On notification area, it shows as signed-in but when I click on application nothing appears. Other people are able to see me online and also able to ping me.
Please help.
Hello
We have the following problem, we found out that 300 of our 600 –Lync enabled test-users have the folder “conversation history” twice in their mailbox
The folder types are “User Created” and „CommunicatorHistory“
New conversations are stored in the folder which the type „CommunicatorHistory“ – but the „User Created“ folder has also old conversations stored
Currently we are not able to reproduce this situation – we are still searching
We have Lync 2010 CU8 and Exchange 2010 SP2/RU6 in a resource/user forest
Anyone has an idea?
When using the sharing feature the cursor blinks incessantly to the point of distraction? Many people in my organization are experiencing this and have expressed concern and dissatisfaction with this "Feature". What is causing this and/or can this be turned off?
I have installed Lync 2010, entered a sign-in address and User name / Password however, I typed in the wrong username.
I get the error "Cannot sign in to Lync because the sign-in address was not found"
I can find no way of displaying the option to change my User name or password with this particular sign-in address.
If I change the sign-in address I am prompted for a User name / Password but I cannot see how I can change these credentials on an existing sign-in address.
I have tried uninstalling, cleaning up the registry and deleting .cache / sip files in my local settings but when I reinstall it remembers the old sign-in address and once again no prompt for domain credentials.
Can anyone help?
We recently switched to Office 365 and up until this month's Tuesday Patch Day, everything was working great. As soon as I installed the patches from 3/12/2013. Ever since then I've had the following issue:
Steps taken to attempt to a fix:
Other notes:
Troubleshooting information is available online, including best practices for using Lync.
I show online (green) and my domain seems setup correctly.
Help! :)
Thank you. When attempting to host a meeting for any type of training (Industry, K-12, Higher Ed, Technology, many others) attendees are unable to hear the meeting audio unless they have a microphone plugged into their
PC.
Microsoft has this listed as a Known Issue internally, and has posted about it here before - originally saying they would fix it in Lync 2010 CU4; which they later dropped stating that it would be too costly to fix...
OK, so the CORE of the reason people want to use this product (Nope, it isn't telephony and instant messaging, you could do that so much cheaper with other products) is so invariably broken that the product doesn't function at all in almost every perceivable end-user situation - except for using a laptop with a built-in mic? Yep.
I asked myself how could this be; then found the statement from Microsoft:
"Making a change would involve too many components and the high cost associated for making these changes would not justified to qualify it as a Cumulative Update within this product release lifecycle."
Great, sweet, Lync 2013 is out - must be fixed now, right? NOPE.
This is INSANE - Microsoft let me tell you directly: I don't care if you re-write the entire product from the ground up (this time not having some bat-brained programmer hard-code microphone support into every single module) - this is the MOST important bug you have to fix in this product, PERIOD.
I expect that you do conduct a bit of market research - do you not understand that this is EXACTLY what your competition offers in other products? Do you really not understand the INTENDED USE of your product? What did you design it for? Who did you design it to compete with? This product can't compete in the same market that LiveMeeting had - it is useless in that space.
However - barring that you refuse to fix this issue - would you be so kind as to list this as a Known Issue on your website; so people can stop spending hours deploying this crappy software that is useless without this feature. Thanks.

This came in to our helpdesk today, and then to my group (sysamdins), and I wasn't sure if this was a known issue or not. To wit:
When attempting to send an instant message to a group of individuals, there is no option through the GUI to send an instant message to any group. The options available are: "Rename Group", "Delete Group", and "Create New Group".
Cannot double click on the group's title to start a group instant message or through the "Contact" menu option. The option to send an IM to the group is greyed out and disabled.
When starting an IM with one person and then dragging the other members of the group manually into the previous two-user conversation, the group IM is then able to be sent. When this window is closed, the process must be repeated to send another group IM.
This same group IM functionality is able to be double-clicked on to send a group IM via Windows machines.
Tested on multiple 10.8.x and 10.6.8 Apple/Mac computers.
Q: known issue? Our Lync servers are humming along without any issues, so I'm thinking this is an issue with the mac client. ahhhhh, the great divide!
