Hi, we recently deployed Lync and issued some Polycom CX600 devices to offices, our plan at the time was that when an office was not being used by its owner, the phone would be a common area phone, allowing meetings to occur in the office without Lync integration (i.e. no user sign on), In reality we seem to be stuck in a loop....
We ha set up the CX600 as CAP, then when a user connects their laptop via USB, they sign on with their Lync credentials on the laptop and the phone recognises this and asks the user to re-enter a 6 digit pin for security and prompts for phone settigns etc.
This is ok for the first time, however when the person signed in picks up a laptop to go to a meeting in another area we want the phone to log of fully, as not doing so doesnt return it to a CAP phone, and causes issues if the phone then is used to start another meeting or makes a call while the user is elsewhere in a lync meeting. (i.e. cuts off calls etc.). Then on their return from the meeting they reconnect via USB but currently have to go back thorugh signing in via Lync client and selecting login on the phone, select pin again etc. etc.
This is very user friendly and causes issues, is there any work around available ? understand that newer polycom devices may work as we would want ?
