Using Lync 2013 as part of O365 where Lync server is hosted by an external non-Microsoft entity.
when one user calls a non-Lync number (POTS or cellular), the caller ID shows as different than the user making the call.
Have deleted the Lync favorite of the incorrect user name and the issue resolves for a little while but comes back. The incorrect name is not held in the Outlook contacts.
Issue does not happen when using Lync in a fresh install of Windows and Lync, but have not tested long term to see if it reoccurs.
As the issue comes back on the existing client when the Lync favorite is deleted, I am thinking that this could be either client or server side.
On the client side, other than Outlook contacts, where else might I look for the incorrect name?
Or, does this look like a server side issue?
