I have a client with an HP Revolve 810 laptop just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1. After the upgrade I removed Office Communicator and installed Lync 2013. The Lync app will not launch! Originally I would get a flash of an error that said Lync failed to start. After installing all available Microsoft and HP updates I don't get the error but Lync still will not launch. No errors are logged in Event Viewer. The only thing I can think of is that the user had Office 2010 installed. Can anyone tell me what to look for on this?
