I tried to install Microsoft Lync Basic 2013 64-bit in my laptop PC with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Operation System. I tried bother version 15.0.4649.1003 and version 15.0.4420.1017 a couples of times. Also, I followed some instructions in TechNet forum and Microsoft Community regarding the similar issue on repairing, un-installling and reinstalling. But I always got the same failure with the following two message:
1st: "Microsoft Lync has stooped working. Windows is checking for a solution for the problem...."
Finally the following error message showed up:
2nd: "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notice you if a solution is available."
When I tried to debug the issue by opening the Microsoft Visual Studio window and I saw the following error in Visual Studio debug window:
-- An unhandled win32 exception occured in Lync.exe [5556]
I'm pretty sure someone had the same installation issue before. Any one has any ideas on how to solve this issue? Any advices and suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
