Problem Sharing Desktop - Lync for MAC 2011

Hi, 

Im using Microsoft Lync for Mac 2011  version 14.0.9. on operating system  OSX 10.9.5

All features are working except Share desktop - The option is greyed out.  Have tried reinstall of application and same problem persists.

Help Appreciated
