Hi,
the Lync auto. configuration does not work. And I did register all the DNS- and SRV Records. In this case Lync Client is used internally not externally.
So I did change the config. and put the Internal Servername manually and was able to sign in.
Where?
- In the upper-right area of Lync 2010, click the Gear icon to open the Options page.
- In the Lync - Options dialog box, click Personal.
- Next to the sign-in address, click Advanced.
If I use the FQDN of the Lync Front End Server it works. But not if I use for example a CNAME like this:
lync.domain.local ---> lyncserver01.domain.local
Also it does not work if I put the IP Address of the Lync Front End Server as internal URL. That explains why the auto. configuration does not work!
I did follow this KB-Article and Lync Client still only works if I use the Server FQDN as internal Servername
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2698626/en-us
Any Idea why Lync Client is fixed with the Server FQDN?
Regards,
Soheil
