I am trying get hidden Mail Contacts from Exchange 2010 Distribution Group to be visible in Lync 2010.
These are external users who have been created as "Contact" -objects in our Active Directory, and are visible in Exchange Management Console as Mail Contact. We have selected "Hide from Exchange Address list" for these users in the Mail Contact Properties.
I am able to add them to the Distribution Group in Exchange Management Console, but when I expand the Distribution Group in Outlook 2010, I don't see the hidden contacts (obviously because they are hidden).
The problem comes with Lync 2010. When I search the Distribution Group in Lync and check the members, the hidden users are not visible, and if I send an IM in Lync to everyone on the Distribution Group, those hidden members are not included.
Is there any way to get the hidden members of the Distribution Group to be visible in Lync, without making them visible in Exchange Address list?
