I have a client who has a full E3 license with Lync and Outlook 2013 installed on their computer. However, they are using their own on-premise Exchange server (I believe it's 2010) for Outlook. Normally, I haven't had many integration problems with Outlook and Lync being on different servers, but when I click "Schedule Lync Meeting" in Outlook, I get the following error:
You cannot schedule the Lync meeting because you are not UC enable or there may be issues with your Communications Server account. Make sure you are signed in to the same account you use for Microsoft Outlook. If the problem continues, please contact your support team
Is it possible to schedule a Lync meeting from Outlook if you are using a different exchange server? This article seems to think so:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj945633.aspx. But I can't seem to make it work. Any ideas?
