We have one (1) user out of our 6000 that is receiving the error:
"Lync is experiencing connection issues with the Exchange server. Lync will attempt to repair the connection until it is fully restored. History, voice mail, and Outlook-related features might be unavailable or out of date until the connection is restored."
Again, this is only for one (1) of our users.
When running the Lync configuration information tool we see for the following:
MAPI Information = MAPI Unavailable; retrying connection.
EWS Information = EWS Unavailable; retrying connection.
We are not experiencing any issues with autodiscover or Exchange / Outlook access.
The user can access all the EWS http pages as expected.
No stored passwords.
The application has been reinstalled.
The Outlook Profile has been recreated.
The Windows Profile has been recreated.
The issue happens on both Windows XP and Windows 7. (And on multiple machines.)
The user has been removed from the Lync server and reenabled.
Next step is to trash the AD account and go from there, but reaching out to the community for other suggestions.
Software:
Lync Server 2010 CU5 HF2 (March 2010)
Lync Client March 2012 Update
Outlook 2007 / Outlook 2010
Exchange 2007 SP3 RU4
Windows XP SP3 / Windows 7 SP1
Thanks.
