I have a scenario where I need to disable the missed call notifications from Lync.
I know that you can disable All missed call notifications from Unified messaging by going into Outook - Tools - Options - Voicemail - and uncheck the missed call notification section. But that won't work for us, here's why:
We have a Cisco Call manager servicing our desk phones with 1 extension range (this is the primary extension), many people have lync clients in a 2nd extension range. I have configured Call manager to simultaneously ring the lync extension when a call comes into the desk phone.
When a call comes in, both desk and lync ring. If we pick up from the desk, the lync client sends out a missed call notification. If we pick up from lync, the desk phone does NOT send out this notification.
So what I need is a method to tell the lync client NOT to send out these messages, yet leave this notification turned on so that messages do go out on a true missed call at the desk phone.
Can this be done?
