I'm in the middle of migrating from LCS 2005 to OCS 2007 R2. Currently we just use this for IM but phone integration will be in the later phases.
The issue I'm seeing so far has to do with the size of the Converstation History folder in Outlook. The messages are taking up a large amount of space relative to the actual content. I know there will be some overhead added to store these in Outllook but currently with under 400 short IM's my Conversation History folder is over 25MB.
The smallest message, which is an empty converstion request, is 27KB. I'm concerned about rolling this out to the entire enterprise since this could end up causing storage problems on our Exchange server. Converstion History is the one big benefit that people really want.
Is this normal? Is there something that can be done to shrink the size of these messages?
Thanks
