Lync 2010 with 2 EE servers, an Edge server, and an Audiocodes gateway.
Have CX500 Lync phones deployed.
If I make an outbound call using the soft client the call starts immediately - no problems.
If I plug in the CX500 to the workstation using the USB cable and chain the workstation behind the phone (workstation plugged into the phone - phone plugged into jack in the wall) and make a call using the phone - I get a 4-7 second beep delay in the call set up.
Are there differences in port requirements for the Lync phone versus the soft client? Why would the soft client go through immediately but the phone have this delay?
From logging it looks like it might be an issue with Edge server talking to the phone - specifically the stun/turn portion but I'm not sure. I've reviewed the firewall and ports list on technet but honestly that document is not very clear. It gives client port requirements yes but doesn't say from where to where or if inbound or outbound or both or what.
Any ideas or suggestions?
