I was recently testing RCC configurations across multiple Lync clients, using Lync Server 2013, Avaya CM R6.3, and Avaya AES R6.3 beta. I was able to successfully complete RCC calls from Lync 2010 and Lync 2013 clients in Windows.
When I attempt to initiate an RCC call from Mac running Lync 2011, I run in to problems. If I right click a user, there is no option to call their telephone number. The only option is Lync Call. If I enter a number in to the dial bar, it throws a client error saying I'm not configured for Enterprise Voice.
Now here's the really weird bit. If I launch a call from the Avaya endpoint, the RCC call control box appears and I can place the call on hold or disconnect it. It appears that the client has the logic but it's either intentionally or unintentionally not giving the user the option to MAKE RCC calls, though RECEIVING them works just fine. Obviously not a great story for Mac users.
Any ideas on how I might resolve this? Is there a client-side configuration I'm missing?
Thanks!
