Lync SPOP and MPOP

Hello All,

We are going to be rolling out Lync on Mobile Devices through the Good Connect App and Blackberry devices. Goods recommendation is to set the MPOP to SPOP i.e. "maxendpointperuser 1".

By default, Lync 2010 Server maxendpointperusersetting is set to 8. From my testing this can cause confusion with multiple windows / toast notifications. For example, if someone does not look at the screen when the toast notification appears it will be sent to the mobile device. However, if the user was not looking at the screen for those 5 seconds then they have missed that IM. Even then if the user starts using Lync on the desktop, the toast notification will still appear again and not register the desktop as the most likely presence. The only way to get around this is log out on the mobile device.

What have your experiences been with themaxendpointperuser set to more than 1 to accommodate mobile devices?

I have read on another forum that setting themaxendpointperuser to 1 means you can log in again and the other device/desktop will get the following message "Please sign out at another location and try again. You have reached the maximum number of computers or devices allowed" . So basically, every device/desktop you go to you will need to manually log in "IF" you are a mobile device user. My concern is, we have a lot of Blackberry users, and in that instant we will need the users to keep logging in.

I appreciate your experiences / recommendations?
