Using the dial pad on the CX5000 to initiate a call from the connected Lync client

I have a Polycom CX5000 connected by USB to my conference room PC running Lync 2010. I can initate calls with the Lync client on the desktop. I wouldlike to be able to start those Lync calls with the CX5000 keypad. Is this possible?
