I recently upgraded my system with Lync 2013 from Windows 8 to 8.1. Since upgrading to Win8.1, incoming voice calls to Lync 2013 lock up the audio subsystem (and Lync). This didn't happen in Windows 8.0 with the same hardware. I've tried using a wired headset as well as another bluetooth headset and cannot reproduce this problem under Windows 8.1. And this headset (the BlueBuds X) didn't have this problem under Windows 8.0. I've also been able to reproduce this on two Win 8.1 systems (both HP commercial machines). I've checked with the manufacturers tech support line and they haven't encountered this before. Any suggestions on how to address this?
