No Lync Audio - Lync is experiencing issues with connecting to Exchange server

I have ONE user (out of approx 600) that is experiencing issues with Lync.  Doesn't matter what PC he logs in on it follows him.  As well, a different user can log into the same PC and have no problem, so doesn't seem to be 'linked' to the Desktop Lync Client.

There are red Exclamation marks (see below), and the message is "Lync is experiecing issues with connecting to Exchange server".  If he tries to use audio, is says there is no device configured (even though it is).  I did notice in the"Configuration Information" that EWS information states "EWS unavaiable, retrying connection".  However, I've checked all the URLs, they are fine, and I can get to those URLs in Explorer from this users PC, and get the typical SOAP XML.

I've deleted the Lync account and recreated it, moved the mailbox to a different database, deleted the contacts in Outlook to no avail.  Presence and IM work fine.  Any ideas? (Lync 2010, Outlook 2010, Exchange 2010 SP2)
