Lync 2011: Mac - Sign into Microsoft Lync Failed because the service is not available

Hi Guys,

I am getting the above error message, there are already many threads with the same error but I just wanted to post our environment that we work with.

It does seem to be an issue with certificates missing; check log;

The Mac's we use are not connected to our domain, users log into a local profile on their Mac's. Also we use Office 365 running Office 2016 apps.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
