The presence status does not change from "Away" to "Available" automatically in Office Communicator 2007 R2

For a customer we have the following issue:

When users lock their desktop, for a longer time (like lunchtime), their presence doesn't switch back to Availlable, but it stays Away. They can only change this back to Availlable when they change the presence by hand or relog.

Users login to their desktop on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 Terminal Server with Citrix XenApp 6.0

Version of OCS 2007 R2: 3.5.6907.268

I know that the recommended operating systems are Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 (SP2), but will another operatingsystem be a problem for the presence status?

Ik have seen another post about this on this forum, but this topic was in februari 2012 and the poster hasn't reacted on questions about it anymore.

Also I have found a KB-article about a hotfix for the same problem, but this hotfix is for OCS 2007, not R2, so I don't think hotfix will resolve this particular issue.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2300255/en-us

Can someone please help me with this issue?
Thank you in advance!
