2010 to 2013 Migration - Conferences do's/dont's

We are migrating our users from a 2010 server pool located in the US to 2013 server pool located in the UK.  We have a few thousand users and plan to do it over a (long) weekend.  My question is, do we need to make sure there are no conference going on since we do not want to-force the move?  We've found that if a conference is active (the users are signed into the meeting), they are moved but are signed out and back in again to the new pool.  A few instances we saw the user accounts get flubbed up, the user could change the presence but it didn't reflect on their local client.

Any expert thoughts around this?   It be nice if there was a parameter that we could provide TO NOT move a user if they are signed into a conference.

Thanks,

-JW
